The Power of the Web
If we only but know it we have a huge ability on the Web to shape World opinion – that is why countries abusing human rights harshly restrict access to the vehicle.
Sadly, most will tend to use the Internet in a very superficial sort of way but, thankfully, increasing numbers are beginning to realise its worth. As never before, we don’t rely on biased news sources or wayward politicians to feed us the facts. Throughout history we have seen wars and destruction caused by the misinformation spread prior to the confrontation. They say in war the first casualty is the truth – how true!
We have to zealously guard our ability to communicate. Politicians and their ilk will use every device (like the threat of terrorism) to justify restricting its use. We must be very vigilant folks.
