Mankind really must address the widespread environmental abuse.

The indecent haste for mineral extraction has accelerated and it is causing untold damage to natural areas.

We are seeing a raping and pillaging of our precious environment and little regard is being given to the aftermath when the minerals have been extracted. The rapacious appetite for resources to feed consumerism is creating long-term damage to an environment already suffering from past exploitation.

There is no question that we have to moderate our excesses or our future prospects will continue to recede.

Future generations will condemn our selfish actions – we can do better!
